Description:
A late 19th Century Swiss cylinder in a diamond set gold ring. Keyless gilt bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Small white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, the twelve marked in red, blue steel hands. Gold ring with chased and engraved sides and shank. Diamond set bezel which rotates to wind and set the watch.

Description:
An extraordinary, half pearl and diamond-set quarter repeating ring watch with visible diamond-set balance – with original box Case: 18k pink gold, rectangular-shaped case with cut corners, the bezel set with half pearls, diamonds and gold pearls, slide for repeating mechanism, push back with apertures for winding and hand-set, reeded shank with triangular-shaped half pearl-set shoulders. Dial: enamel, eccentric dial with Arabic numerals, signed, blued Breguet hands. Upper part with a polished disc with four curved diamond-set arms illustrating a visible balance. Movm.: rectangular-shaped movement, frosted, gilt, 2 hammers, 1 bell, 2 barrels for going and striking train, cylinder escapement. This is one of five known quarter repeating ring watches. Achard & Fils Achard & Fils was a watch manufacturer based in Geneva. The company was founded in 1796 by George Achard under the name Achard & Cie. Later the company changed its name to Achard & Fils. Achard & Fils was well known for its enamelled watches. The company ceased to exist in the 19th century.

Description:
A large late 19th Century lever in a rare reversible cabriolet gold hunter pair case. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, polished steel escape wheel. White enamel dial signed “BWCo”, subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, decorative gilt hands. Rare heavy 18 carat cabriolet case which can be used either as a full hunter or as an open face. The inner gold case with florally engraved back and plain middle. Wound and set through the signed gold cuvette, gold button in the pendant to open the back. This can be used on its own or placed in the three section gold outer case with either the dial or back visible. When the dial is shown the watch still appears to be a conventional open face watch with the engraved back depicting a Scottish hunting scene. Alternatively with the florally engraved back of the inner visible the watch becomes a full hunter, the button in the pendant serving to open the front cover.

An early 19th Century rare pearl and ruby encrusted gold open face watch. Fitted with a Swiss cylinder Keywind gilt bar movement, plain cock with polished steel regulator. Wound through the gilt dial with Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. Fine gold open face case the bezels set with a row of pink rubies each circled by split pearls. The back encrusted with graduated split pearls in a geometric pattern set around a central ruby. The background of the design filled with many hundreds of tiny split pearls entirely covering the back. Pearl set pendant, ruby and pearl set bow. Green morocco covered presentation case.

Push pendant quarter repeating on two rectangular section polished steel gongs. Gold engine turned dial, Roman numerals, gold hands. Fine gold open face case the bezels set with a row of large split pearls. The back encrusted with graduated split pearls in a geometric pattern. The background of the design filled with many hundreds of tiny split pearls entirely covering the back. Trefoil bow, wound and set through the gold cuvette. Pearl set key and short gold chain.

Very rare steel consular case, the scene of a couple in a garden and a man sitting on an arch chased and engraved. The matted areas of the scene washed with gilt. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. Winding through the signed white enamel dial, Roman and Arabic numerals, pierced stone set hands. Gold consular case, oval cartouche on the back of three colour gold and enamel within a stone set frame surrounded by a border of light green translucent enamel over an engine turned ground. Outside this a further band of enamelled foliate decoration with applied gold rope band. Stone set front bezel.

Unusual back set with white stones and decorated in red and gilt enamel on a black ground. At the base a stylised sun below the gilt decorated red enamel arc. Above this a crescent moon set with white stones.

An unusual gem set silver gilt desk clock in the form of a carriage being drawn by butterflies. Small full plate gilt fusee verge movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. Wound through the white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, gilt Breguet hands. The movement housed in a plain drum with a glazed hinged front door and clip on glazed back. This sits on an ornate carriage constructed from pierced and engraved silver gilt frames. A small cast cherub drives the carriage holding the reigns to three well modelled butterflies pulling the coach. The dial side of the coach set with white and red gem stones. Pierced and engraved wheels sitting on a rectangular lapis lazuli base.

Description:
A 20th Century Swiss enamelled singing bird box with silvered mounts and fitted oval watch. Small lever watch movement mounted in the front of the box. Wound and set by a crown under the box, silvered oval dial with gilt centre, blue steel hands. Singing bird mechanism with going barrel wound by key below the box. Small bellows mechanism providing air to a variable whistle operated by a system of cams and levers. The rod at the side of the box is pulled to start the bird singing. The oval lid rises and a bird appears, turning from side to side, flapping its wings and moving its beak. When the song is finished the bird falls backwards and the lid closes. Rectangular box standing on four small ball feet. The faces of translucent red enamel over an engine turned ground framed by engraved silvered mounts. The repousse scene on the oval door is of a couple embracing on a bench surrounded by birds.
